Nina Polak (1986) studied literary and cultural analysis in Amsterdam and is an author of fiction and non-fiction. She published her debut novel We zullen niet te pletter slaan in 2014 and was nominated for the Anton Wachterprijs, the ANV Debutantenprijs and the Opzij Literatuurprijs. Her second novel, Gebrek is een groot woord, won the BNG Bank Literature Prize. She is an editor at De Correspondent and her most recent book is an anthology of essays on Dutch and Flemish Literature. Her chapbook The Dandy (translated by Emma Rault) is a collection of five short stories full of wit and diversity.
