Tommy Wieringa
Tommy Wieringa (1967) grew up partly in the Netherlands, and partly in the tropics. He began his writing career with travel stories and journalism, and is the author of several internationally bestselling novels. His fiction has been longlisted for the Booker International Prize, shortlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and the Oxford/Weidenfeld Prize, and has won Holland’s Libris Literature Prize.

From 10 to 26 August Scotland will be buzzing with literature during the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the largest literature festival in the world. Dutch literature will be represented by picture book author Mylo Freeman, comic maker and graphic novelist Typex and novelist Tommy Wieringa.
