Edinburgh International Book Festival

From 10 to 26 August Scotland will be buzzing with literature during the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the largest literature festival in the world. Dutch literature will be represented by picture book author Mylo Freeman, comic maker and graphic novelist Typex and novelist Tommy Wieringa.

16 Aug: Mylo Freeman will read from the latest picture book from her bestselling Princess Arabella series: Hair, It's a Family Affair!, which celebrates the diversity of black hair, and she will give a demonstration of her colourful illustrations.

24 Aug: Typex will speak with curator and author Keith Hartley about the life and work of Andy Warhol, about whom they both wrote a book. Typex worked five years on his graphic novel biography Andy: A Factual Fairytale. The Life and Times of Andy Warhol, which was published simultaneously in six countries last summer, to widespread national and international acclaim.

26 Aug: Tommy Wieringa will perform with Paul Lynch. They will talk about the theme of unforgettable survival stories, as they both have written in their respective books.
