Thomas Heerma van Voss
Thomas Heerma van Voss (1990) is the author of four works of fiction. His journalism has appeared in De Volkskrant and NRC Handelsblad among others. His second novel Stern (translated into German) appeared in 2013 after which he was hailed as one of the biggest literary talents in contemporary dutch writing. His third work, a short-story collection titled De derde persoon came out in 2014 and was nominated for the BNG Literature Prize. In 2017 his collection of essays, nominated for the Jan Hanlo essay prize and Bookspot literature prize, was published. In 2020 his third novel Condities appeared. Van Voss’s contribution to the chapbook series, Thank You for Your Participation, contains two stories selected from De derde persoon and are translated by Moshe Gilula.
