The Power of Friendship

The Power of Friendship with Phil Earle, Bali Rai, Lesley Parr, Anna Woltz chaired by Janet Smyth. Join our Festival Programme Consultant Janet Smyth for this inspiring event as she talks to authors Phil Earle, Bali Rai, Lesley Parr and Anna Woltz. This event will be followed by a live Q&A.

Where would we be without our friends? Four stellar authors talk about this question in relation to the friendships in their books, some of which have been inspired by true stories. There’s angry Joseph who befriends the mighty Adonis, a silverback gorilla; lost Jimmy who finds friendship with someone he never expects to; resistor Joelle whose bond with Mohinder might just save his life; and Alaska the dog who brings two outsiders, Parker and Sven, together.

As you watch this event you can think about what your friends mean to you, and what you mean to them. Friendship can be a very powerful thing - as you’ll find out in this event.
