If you’ve ever been curious about how translators work their magic, then this is the workshop for you! Perfect for families and friends of all ages, come along and let an expert show you how it’s done. Using the Dutch original and Laura’s English translation of the picture book Hey, Who’s in the Loo?, translating teams will learn how to take their literal translations and craft them into creative (and often hilarious) interpretations.
Laura Watkinson is a highly acclaimed and award-winning translator. A passion for children’s literature led her to found the Dutch chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Originally from the UK, Laura now lives and works in Amsterdam.
